PHOENIX STANDARDS
Most suppliers inspect after a complaint.
We inspect before the board moves.
Every board entering and leaving the facility passes through a defined, documented quality process conducted a minimum of three times daily.
MDF Interior / Exterior
The foundation of clean, consistent furniture surfaces.
A fine, uniform fibre panel engineered for consistent surface quality, interior grade for dry spaces, exterior grade for humid & moisture-prone environments.
Density
650-850kg/m3
Internal bond
> 0.60N/mm2
moisture
5-11%
screw holding
Consistent Across Panel
Particle Board
Stable, flat, and built for precision laminate work.
A cost-efficient compressed wood panel that delivers a flat, stable surfaces, best suited for dry indoor furniture production and laminate application.
Density
620–720 kg/m³
Internal bond
≥ 0.35 N/mm²
moisture
8–12%
screw holding
Moderate / Confirmat
HWDR Boards
HWDR
The foundation of clean, consistent furniture surfaces.
A high-density, water-resistant board treated with specialized resins that significantly reduce moisture absorption engineered for demanding interiors.
Density
780–850 kg/m³
Internal bond
≥ 0.60 N/mm²
moisture
6–9%

High pull-out resistance
Paper Standards
Two ranges.
One non-negotiable standard.
DuraLam Paper.
Indian Décor
65-70
GSM.
Essential
Colors
Production-grade décor. Batch-stable. Indian-made.
Opulum Paper.
Imported Décor
70 - 110
GSM.
Designer
Shades
Premium imports for premium projects.
MELAMINE COATED PAPERS
Quality begins with the paper, not the press.
Phoenix produces its own 100% melamine-coated decor paper within the facility, including resin chemistry, saturation, and final paper processing.
10 step testing process
Boiling Test
2-hour submersion in boiling water. Zero swelling or delamination accepted.
Screw Test
Face and edge wood-screw pull-out resistance per EN-317.
UV Testing
6-stage UV resistance check for gloss retention and anti-yellowing. Velvet Series only.
Anti-Peeling Test
100-square cross-cut grid with standardized 90° tape tension.
Stain Test
Chemical reagent exposure to verify stain resistance on the finish.
